The holidays are hands down my favorite time of the year. Starting on November 1st, my mind goes into holiday overload and I can’t get enough of peppermint mocha’s, Hallmark movies, and Christmas music.
When Hope stopped by with Charlotte and baby Tripp, the idea to create a minimalist holiday photo shoot came to life. Using an old red wagon (courtesy of my sister-in-law), a mini tree and a cozy plaid blanket were exactly the look & feel I wanted to achieve with this series of images. We also invited Remington to join in the photo shoot and that boy knows exactly how to work the camera!
Okay, okay - I know I say, I’m not a baby or kid photographer - but after every shoot I am starting to be more open to the idea. Of course, if you saw the outtakes and me running out of the studio to find bribery cookies you’d understand why I might second guess children photography. But, truth be told, I do love the unexpected and realness that children bring to a photo shoot.
