How long have you been a portrait photographer?
My curiosity for photography began in my early teens and became an extension of who I am during my studies at the Art Insitute of Fort Lauderdale. By age 20, I was photographing weddings throughout the East Coast and Internationally. Now, in my late 30's I am shifting my focus to women's portraits (including high school seniors) and personal branding commissions.
What is the investment for a photo shoot commission?
The Portrait Photo Shoot Commission fee is $150 to reserve your date with a signed studio contract. Clients are encouraged to only purchase the portraits they absolutely love. Desk Prints with accompanying complimentary digital file begin at $60. Collections begin at $850.
Clients interested in Personal Branding + Headshots should request a custom quote specific to their project needs.
Do you work on location or in a studio?
Both! I have a beautiful minimalist within the Lancaster area that clients are always welcome to be photographed in. Location work is welcomed as well. Plus, my entire studio kit can be taken on location to be used within your location or outside if need be.
Do you travel?
Yes, travel is something that I deeply enjoy personally, and am beyond honored with clients ask me to join in their adventure. The AKP team has traveled throughout the US and Internationally for weddings, couple's portraits, and branding commissions.
How will we view our photographs?
Due to the custom nature of the work that I often create - viewing your photographs may vary from in-person or digitally.
Do you retouch photos?
Each photograph is given an in-house retouch prior to being viewed by the client (again, levels of retouching vary per project.) Clients who purchase keepsake prints and products will have their portraits further retouched by a professional retoucher.
Whats your turn around time?
Turnaround times are complex as this depends on current production schedules in-house and through our vendors. During the design process, defined timelines will be provided.
How can we book a photo shoot with you?
A 30-minute consultation call is highly recommended as this will help me understand your photoshoot vision and goals.
During our call, we should be able to tell if we are the right fit for each other.
Should we decide that moving forward is the next step we will select a date on the calendar and an electronic studio contract and payment link will be sent to you to officially reserve your date.
Can you help us with photo shoot planning?
Yes, I have a very detailed planning guide for all photo shoots that leaves no detail up for question. Additionally, I have a team of professional hairstylists, makeup artists, and fashion stylists to refer to the event you should need their services.
How far in advance should we consider booking our photo shoot?
Currently, my calendar is filling for January - March of 2021. Photo Shoots typically take place Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Saturday appointments are limited to 1 weekend per month and require an order minimum.
Are you currently booking weddings?
Yes, and No! It's a hard question to answer! Due to my portrait and commercial photography schedule I am not often able to reserve dates far in advance, however, that doesn't mean I won't entertain the idea of booking a wedding. My best advice, send me an email - tell me about your plans and the vision you have for your wedding photographs. Or, simply book a wedding photo shoot with me instead. Honestly, the couple's portraits are my favorite and this gives us plenty of time to play and create beautiful wall portraits without the constraints of the wedding day timeline.
Do you offer mentoring or coaching programs?
Yes, I am more than happy to mentor or coach. Please use the contact page to inquire about my availability and a good time for us to chat on the phone.
